About China Chef
China Chef is a welcoming Chinese restaurant that brings together the convenience of takeaway, the comfort of dine-in service, and the flexibility of delivery in a way that suits modern everyday dining. It is a place designed for people who want familiar Chinese flavors served efficiently, whether they are stopping in for lunch, sitting down for dinner, ordering a quick meal after a busy day, or arranging food for a larger group. With a casual atmosphere and a quiet setting, it offers an easygoing experience that works well for solo diners, families, and guests who prefer a relaxed meal without unnecessary formality.
The restaurantβs appeal lies in its broad range of options and its practical approach to service. Customers can choose from comfort food, quick bites, small plates, healthy choices, vegan selections, and vegetarian dishes, making it suitable for different tastes and dietary preferences. That variety helps the restaurant serve more than one purpose at once. It can be a dependable destination for a traditional Chinese meal, a convenient stop for takeout, and a useful option for those looking for lighter or plant-based choices. This versatility makes it especially appealing to regular diners who value consistency but still want enough menu diversity to keep meals interesting.
China Chef also stands out for the way it supports convenience. Fast service makes it a strong choice for people with limited time, while no-contact delivery and standard delivery options add flexibility for customers who prefer to eat at home or at work. Takeout is ideal for those passing through or picking up dinner on the way home, and catering extends the restaurantβs value beyond individual meals to meetings, gatherings, and special occasions. The presence of table service and reservations further shows that the business can accommodate both spontaneous visits and planned dining.
Accessibility is another important strength. The restaurant includes features that make it usable for a wide range of guests, including wheelchair accessible entrance, parking, restroom, and seating. These details matter because they help make the dining experience more inclusive and comfortable. Family-friendly amenities such as high chairs, a kids menu, and good-for-kids service also make it a practical choice for parents looking for a restaurant that can handle children with ease. Free parking and accessible parking options add even more convenience, especially for customers arriving by car.
The business environment suggests a place that values straightforward hospitality rather than flashy presentation. Its calm and quiet setting can appeal to diners who want a peaceful meal, while its acceptance of credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments makes transactions smooth and modern. The fact that dogs are allowed both inside and outside adds a rare layer of flexibility that may appeal to pet owners looking for an accommodating dining spot.
With a solid reputation supported by many customer reviews, China Chef appears to have built trust through reliability, service speed, and menu variety. It is the kind of restaurant that can fit into daily routines while still being flexible enough for special meals, group orders, and casual family outings. Its combination of Chinese cuisine, vegetarian and vegan choices, convenient ordering options, and accessible facilities gives it broad appeal across different types of diners.

Food is delicious and they're super nice people. Ordered some food right before closing and they stayed open to accomplish the order and gave me some free soup for the wait. Highly recommend!

So this is now called Lucky Kitchen I ordered fried shrimp, appetizer and crab rangoon appetizer along with sweet-and-sour chicken plate The gentleman was very nice, but the food was very disappointing. I havenβt been in there since the ownership changed and was hoping for good things. The crab rangoons had no sign of crab in them at all. It was just cream cheese and they were overcooked. The shrimp tasted like they were overcooked as well very dry. As far as my plate, I thought I was going to get a plate of fried rice, chow mein, and my protein, and I ended up only getting the chow mein and the sweet-and-sour chicken. either way there wasnβt much flavor to it at all and I would not recommend going and I wonβt be back. I hope your experience is better if you do go.

We have ordered many times over the years, but unfortunately after reading other reviews it looks like they have recently changed owners. I can confirm after today's order that it is definitely not worth it now. Everything was just off. Pan fried noodles were not like what you would expect from other Chinese food places. They were skinny noodles and hard like ramen from your pantry. They had a quart of liquid to pour over it to attempt to make them edible. We didn't even bother saving all of the extras for leftovers.

Have gone several times and they do a pretty decent job. Employees are always friendly and for Northeast Fresno it's one of the better spots. I love chow/lo mein so that's what I base off of. They are able to give good spice (level 5 for me). It has a good kick but not enough to burn your mouth. We ordered the house special which has multiple meats. Good flavor however the noodles are always a little gummy and sticky. That's why I give a 3. I always get the shrimp fried rice which is also ok. The Mongolian beef can also be ordered spicy and comes loaded with onions. You'll have to ask for steamed rice on the side. It's near McDonalds on Willow/Nees by the Ten Tavern on Nees next to Vietnamese restaurant as well. They are closed on Mondays and have both coke and Pepsi which is cool. Canned drinks and they sell little crunchy almond cookies if you have a sweet tooth while there. Clean restaurant and fast service.

Food is worth the price. You can make your food spicy with level 0 to 5. Customer service is really good too. We will definitely be back whenever we are in the Clovis area. They are doing take out only til further notice.
